We had a very exciting evening. Andrew, my 9 year-old-son and I went to the McKinney Magazine Photography Contest Reception this evening. Andrew won First Place in the youth category!! I also received an honorable mention for my image of the McKinney Boys Scout Troop 303 decorating the Veteran’s graves on Memorial Day last year at the service in McKinney.
By the time the evening was over Andrew had sold his first print and was asked by the historical society to publish his image in the North Texas Historical Society postcard series publication. His image is of the old Cotton Mill in McKinney. In its hayday in took raw cotton, milled and weaved it into denim fabric. This is a very cool location that is also in my session with KayLee.
Maybe in about 12 years or so I will have to change the name os the sudio to Ernest and Son Photography!
